The successful candidate will hold an approved level 3 qualification or above and have a minimum of 2 years of previous experience working in an Early Years setting (or have at least two years’ other suitable experience) preferably in a childcare leadership position either as a Room Leader, Deputy Nursery Manager, or Nursery Manager.
You will be required to lead and support an established team of Nursery practitioners and Room Leaders across 3 rooms.
You will be required to support the rooms when necessary. The role requires you to manage all staff and take responsibility for the smooth running of the nursery.

This setting is an independent Private Day Nursery established 20 years. We are a progressive company and always look for ways to improve our setting. Based across 3 rooms, our setting provides the space to stimulate each child’s natural curiosity, exploration, play and imagination.

The role of the Nursery Manager involves:
- Managing budgets, marketing, occupancy levels and KPIs.
- Preparing for Ofsted inspections.
- Assisting in the recruitment of nursery staff, managing inductions, supervisions, and appraisals.
- Leading the team and support in EYFS planning and looking at reflective practice.
- Managing staff rotas and staff meetings.
- Ensuring children’s observations, assessment and development records are maintained.
- Having lead responsibility for Safeguarding and Health & Safety, ensuring all staff follow policy and procedures.
- Working in partnership with parents to form caring and trusting relationships.
- Liaising with the Local Authorities and other professionals associated with the nursery
To be considered for this role:
- Level 3 (or above) childcare qualification
- Good knowledge of the EYFS
- Previous leadership experience (eg. Senior Room Leader, Deputy Manager)
- Ability to motivate, inspire and lead a small team
- Friendly, approachable, and positive attitude
Hours & Salary
40 hours per week
51 weeks per year
Monday to Friday between 7:30 am -6:30pm
30 days holiday per year
Starting Salary £27K
Position available from March 28th 2023
