Childcare and education for preschool children

The preschool years are critical to a child’s development in preparing them for the life, routine and learning they will experience at ‘big’ school. At Twinkle Toes Day Nursery in Stourbridge, our preschool children attend the Dragonfly Room, where they will continue their development in a non-judgemental, caring environment, supported by qualified staff. Healthy meals and safe play will contribute to their daily routine.

The Dragonfly Room

Preschool age children are beginning to develop a greater sense of the world around them and their place in it. As their school career beckons, they start to need a much wider range of skills and qualities to cope successfully with the transition. At Twinkle Toes Day Nursery and Preschool, we continue to nurture each child, introducing new experiences and activities that aid their development. These include working on their socialisation skills and their attention span as well as their creativity. They will learn early reading, writing and maths skills in a safe, non-critical environment.

Communication and listening skills will also improve, as will problem solving and fine motor skills through a range of fun pursuits from arts and crafts to imaginative play and the use of educational toys and activities. 

In addition to play and learning, your child’s health and growth will be complemented by healthy meals, including breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. All meals are carefully planned and provided by Cupcakes Catering, a specialist provider of nutritious and delicious meals suitable for every child’s dietary requirements.
